Remove the header from the top of WordPress Noteblog Theme pages

If you’re using the WordPress Noteblog Theme like me and you want to remove the headers from your pages, but keep them on your posts, you’re at the right place.

This is especially essential if you’re using a custom designed home page. With absolute respect the developers for this aesthetically pleasing and practical design, nobody wants the word “Home” to appear on their home page.

You’ll be able to apply the same logic to remove headers from other themes, but the code will look different, so be sure to back up you work incase you make a mistake and mess up your theme. This is always good practice in any event.

This is how you remove it in 5 easy steps:

  1. Go to Appearance > Editor in the backend of your WordPress site
  2. Select content-page.php from the code
  3. Comment out or delete the code on line 17
  4. Click Update File (My code editor requires me to click the Save button at the top)
  5. Refresh your webpage to view the changes

Want to remove the header from your Posts too?

I wouldn’t recommend this, but if this is what you’re after, you’ll need to follow these steps:

  • Go to Appearance > Editor in the backend of your WordPress site
  • Select content.php from the code
  • Comment out or delete the highlighted code in the screenshot below
  • Click Update File (My code editor requires me to click the Save button at the top)
  • Refresh your web post to view the changes
